Dozens of churches across the Netherlands have responded to a nationwide call to provide temporary shelter for status holders. According to Actie Onderdak, twenty churches around the country are already preparing locations by setting up rooms and installing beds.

127,000 euros can be distributed by the municipality of Leeuwarden for plans that young people have for the municipality. The registration has now been closed and has yielded thirty-three plans.

Former politician Coos Huijsen has passed away at the age of 87. He is considered the world's first openly gay member of parliament and served in the House of Representatives for the CHU starting in 1972. Huijsen died at home after a short illness.
