Family searches for rescuers nearly 85 years after houseboat sank in Echtenerbrug

In 1942, the houseboat of the Van der Meer family from Leeuwarden sank near Echtenerbrug, where local residents saved them. Nearly 85 years later, descendants Yvon van der Meer and her cousin Jeltje Fopma are searching for the identity of these rescuers. They hope to finally express their gratitude to those involved or their surviving relatives.
