Knot and Hernández de Cos are the only ones left in the race for the ECB presidency

Klaas Knot, the Dutch candidate for the position of President of the European Central Bank, has only one opponent in the battle for that position. Today closed the period in which candidates could be registered. Only Pablo Hernández de Cos, the former president of the Spanish central bank, is in the race for the position alongside Knot. More candidates have not been nominated for the presidency of the ECB.
