Municipality must adjust plan for residential area De Hem near Leeuwarden

The municipality of Leeuwarden has to restore the zoning plan for the new residential area De Hem near Goutum in a few points. This was determined by the Council of State on Wednesday 14 October in an interim ruling. The Hem must provide space for a maximum of 395 homes. According to the Council of State, the municipality has not yet sufficiently justified the consequences of the chosen buffer zone between the district and the Hounspolder for the meadow birds in the area.
