Searches at Overijssel livestock businesses over suspected illegal cattle trade

The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) has searched homes and business premises of two livestock traders in Overijssel. They are suspected of fraud in the cattle trade, illegally gathering cattle, and transporting animals that were not allowed to be transported. An NVWA spokesperson said the two traders are suspected of working together. The traders allegedly failed to register animals or registered them incorrectly.
