Church of Oldebroek raises rainbow flag as congregation scraps LGBTI policy

Dozens of people gathered today at the Cross Church in Wezep, in the municipality of Oldebroek, to raise the rainbow flag. This happens every year in the context of International Coming Out Day, which takes place tomorrow, but this year it was an extra charged moment. The rainbow flag is not raised at Oldebroek town hall for the first time in years. The Christian-conservative congregation stops, as the first congregation in the Netherlands, all the way with the LGBTI policy.
