Five years in prison for drunk man who killed 4-year-old child in Maastricht

A 30-year-old man from Maastricht has been sentenced to five years in prison for causing a fatal traffic accident in which a 4-year-old boy died. He drove over 60 kilometers per hour too fast in built-up areas and had more than 3.5 times as much alcohol in his blood as allowed. The punishment imposed by the District Court of Limburg is equal to the requirement of the Public Prosecutor's Office (OM). The court ruled that reckless driving is the cause of the fatal accident.
