More often second hearing implant reimbursed: 'Not for nothing got two ears'

Adults who are deaf or severely hard of hearing in both ears are now also eligible for reimbursement for a second hearing implant. This was announced by the Zorginstituut Nederland yesterday. Children have already received a so-called cochlear implant for both ears. But adults were only entitled to this if they were deaf due to meningitis, or if they were deaf and blind.
