Two arrests for human trafficking and exploitation at Indian restaurants
The Investigation Service of the Dutch Labour Inspectorate today arrested two owners of a number of Indian restaurants on suspicion of human smuggling and exploitation. Europol, which was involved in the action, speaks of more than seventy victims. The owners have eight restaurants that are part of several Indian catering chains, including those located in Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague, Hoofddorp and Hilversum. inspection of the Labour Inspectorate, serious abuses had been discovered.
