Rotterdammer suspected of identity fraud after football ticket scam

The police arrested a 31-year-old man from Rotterdam last week because he is suspected of having hacked the accounts of almost fifty season ticket holders of fifteen Eredivisie clubs. The police tracked the man down when it was discovered at sc Heerenveen at the end of May that an employee's account had been hacked, and that football tickets were sold on Marktplaats under his name. Police investigation later revealed that Marketplace users thought they were in contact with a real season ticket holder.
