New DNA method for cold cases successful, will be used more widely

The Public Prosecution Service and the Netherlands Forensic Institute have successfully completed a pilot using a new DNA method to solve serious cold cases. The approach compares crime scene DNA against private databases that have granted permission for its use. Following these positive results, the technique will be rolled out to more unsolved cases.
