Mega operation in Vught: monumental station building is lifted and moved

It is not an everyday move: today the monumental Vught station building will be lifted in its entirety and moved 13.6 meters. Weighing 720 tons, the 1868 building, including the historic cellar, will be moved east in seven hours. The operation is expected to begin between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. The 28 meter long and 9.5 meter wide building should be in its new location by mid-afternoon.
