More Dutch employees continue working past retirement age

The number of Dutch employees who continue working past the state pension (AOW) age is increasing. According to Statistics Netherlands (CBS), 1.7 percent of workers were older than the pension age in the second quarter of 2026. This marks an increase from the first quarter of 2018, when the share was 1.2 percent.
