Cabinet apologies to Q fever patients: 'Sent from the cabinet to the wall'

Twenty years after the start of the largest Q fever epidemic in history, Minister of Health Hermans apologises on behalf of the cabinet. Tens of thousands of people in North Brabant became infected by infected goat farms in the area. Various committees of inquiry, ombudsmen and doctors have since found that the government failed to protect the people in that region. The Minister makes no apologies for what happened during the epidemic has happened.
