12 years in prison demanded against official for corruption and link with heavy violence

A 48-year-old Amsterdam municipal official is sentenced to twelve years in prison if it is up to the Public Prosecutor's Office. He is suspected of corruption, computer intrusion and complicity in serious incidents of violence. Justice is also demanding ten years in prison against two 'information brokers' to whom the suspect would have passed on information. The official would have more than 600 unlawful personal and address details in nine months requested in the systems of the municipality of Amsterdam, the Public Prosecution Service writes.
