Padellers are at risk of eye damage: 'My lens was in twelve pieces'

The number of people who suffer eye damage from pimples has increased considerably in recent months. Doctors from the Dutch Ophthalmological Society are calling about this. "At first, we saw injuries from padel about twice a month," says ophthalmologist Ruud van der Pol of the Alrijne Hospital in Leiderdorp. “But for the last six months, we see it two to three times a week.”
