OM demands 17.5 years in prison against Syrian from Arkel, suspected security chief IS

The Public Prosecution Service wants 41-year-old Ayham A. from the South Holland village of Arkel to receive 17.5 years in prison for his prominent role in the terrorist organisation Islamic State (IS). According to the Public Prosecutor, the Syrian was the head of the IS security service in the south of the capital Damascus between 2014 and 2018. The service was responsible for arresting, interrogating and executing people who were seen as adversaries.
