Council of State rejects objections: Defence may build radar station in Herwijnen

The Ministry of Defence can continue with the construction of a military radar station in the Gelderland village of Herwijnen. The Council of State rejected objections from local residents and the municipality of West Betuwe against the arrival of the radar system. The objectors had appealed against the construction of the radar station. They fear, among other things, noise pollution, health risks from radiation and damage to their living and living environment.
