Busiest evening rush hour of the year: more than 1,100 kilometres of traffic jam

Today's evening rush hour is the busiest of the year so far. Around 5.30 pm, there was 1,109 kilometres of traffic jam on the Dutch roads, reports the ANWB. The previous record was set on Wednesday 13 May, when there was 1,046 kilometres of traffic jam. That hustle and bustle was linked to Ascension Day and holiday traffic.
