'Bodies seriously failed in abuse of family home Niekerk'

The quality, safety and care in a Groningen family home in Niekerk fell seriously short, according to the Health Care and Youth Inspectorate (IGJ). Two young children stayed in the Bersama family home for a long time. There they were abused and neglected for years. The children, a boy and girl aged 9 and 10, had been removed from the house and had been under the custody of the William Schrikker Foundation (WSS) since 2022.
