Children's book writer Sjoerd Kuyper, known for The Pocket Knife, died

The Dutch writer Sjoerd Kuyper (74) has died after a short illness in his hometown Bergen. This is reported by his publisher Hoogland & Van Klaveren. Kuyper was a writer for over fifty years and is best known for his work for children, although he also wrote for adults. Generations grew up with his books about the preschooler Robin.
