PFAS in sewage Dinxperlo after extinguishing fire with contaminated water

During the extinguishing of the fire in Dinxperlo in Gelderland on Monday evening, PFAS ended up in the sewage water. This is reported by the municipality of Aalten, which includes Dinxperlo. A pile of wood and pruning waste was on fire at a waste processor. The extinguishing water came from a contaminated recreational pond and was largely discharged via the sewer.
