Merwedebrug closed for three days, major delays expected this afternoon

The Merwedebrug on the A27 highway has been closed for three days since yesterday evening due to roadworks. A new, thinner layer of asphalt is being applied to the bridge between Gorinchem and Werkendam. Motorists are advised to expect significant traffic delays, especially this afternoon.
