Mandatory course for owners of high-risk dogs and possibly higher sentence in case of incident

Owners of high-risk dogs will soon have to take a compulsory behavioural course. Erkens, State Secretary for Agriculture, wants them to learn to "keep their dog safe". This is necessary to reduce the number of bite incidents. The breeds involved will be announced at the beginning of 2027.
