Doctor not prosecuted after active end of life toddler: 'Hopefully this gives support'

The Public Prosecution Service will not prosecute a doctor who actively ended the life of a seriously ill toddler last year. In doing so, the Public Prosecution Service is following the advice of a committee that ruled earlier this month that the doctor acted with care. Since 2024, there has been a scheme in the Netherlands to end the life of a child between the ages of 1 and 12 who suffers unbearably and hopelessly.
