Construction of new forests falls far short of objectives

Little remains of a national plan to plant more forests. In 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture presented the Forest Strategy. It stated that 37,000 hectares of forest had to be added in ten years. Provinces are largely responsible for planting, but six years later their goals are still far from sight.
