Hundreds of hospital uniforms thrown away weekly, lost pen culprit

A lost pen can create a lot of unnecessary waste, Dutch hospitals note. A tour of RTL Nieuws shows that hundreds of uniforms end up in the trash every week. On the conveyor belt, ballpoint pens or markers go into the wax, leaving white uniforms stained blue. It's a “persistent problem,” Laundry CleanLease tells RTL Nieuws.
