Popular 'squishy dumplings' not dangerous, says regulator

Squishy dumplings are not dangerous to health. The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) investigated the hugely popular toy and found no health risks. Last summer, some stores removed the malleable dumplings from the market after research showed that potentially harmful substances could be released. The NVWA also received complaints about the chemical smell of some products.
