Sipma, van Popta and Bandstra win Oldehovedag 2026

Johan Sipma (K), Gabe Jan van Popta and Jan Bandstra have written the Oldehovedag 2026 in their name. At the Sonnenborgh sports park in Leeuwarden, the trio beat Menno van Zwieten, Allard Hoekstra and Jelmer Miedema 5-3 and 6-2 in the final. Traditionally, the Oldehoved Day is the culmination of the rebound season. The Leeuwarden classic is not only about sporting performance, but also about parting players.
