Atlantic hurricane season at its peak, but where are they?

August and September; normally these are months in which it can haunt the Atlantic. Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on New Orleans in 2005. And in 1992, Hurricane Andrew did during this period in Florida. A few years ago, it was our own kingdom's turn, when Hurricane Irma caused a lot of damage and deaths in the Windward Islands.
