Fryslân fascinates: the catalyst for a sustainable village future

Fryslân Blooms is like an oil stain. Originating from Arcadia, the foundation that shapes and manages the legacy of Leeuwarden/Fryslân Cultural Capital 2018, one village was helped in 2023 to organise a flowering week. A year later, there were seven and in 2025 almost thirty. The ambition is to make Fryslân the sixth Blue Zone in the world.
