Open Monument Day brings Leeuwarden's history to life

On Saturday, September 12, various historical buildings and locations in Leeuwarden will open their doors for the annual Open Monument Day. This year's event focuses primarily on the Willemskades and the surrounding area. Visitors can follow a route past thirteen historic properties, two traditional ships, and the engine room of the Wirdumerpoortsbrug.
