Sybrand Buma appointed honorary citizen of Leeuwarden

Sybrand Buma was honoured as an honorary citizen of Leeuwarden on Friday. During a meeting at in Natuurmuseum Fryslân, he was handed the medal of honour by the municipality. Buma was mayor of Leeuwarden from 2019 to 1 July 2026. He has been Vice-President of the Council of State since July.
