Canadian engineering firm ceases Arcadis takeover attempt

The Canadian engineering firm WSP Global is ceasing its attempts to take over its Dutch counterpart Arcadis. WSP Global wrote in a press release that it was unable to enter into talks with Arcadis about the conditions for a share transfer. The company remains convinced that a takeover would be mutually beneficial. WSP Global joined the Arcadis leadership team twice this summer.
