Watchdog warns publishers over expensive and non-reusable schoolbooks
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) is calling on publishers to stop forcing schools to buy digital and paper textbooks together. Publishers must also become more transparent about the pricing and quality of their teaching materials. Secondary schools spend around 280 million euros annually on these resources, which are currently deemed too expensive and difficult to reuse.
