Mayor Halsema asked rapper Ye to leave immediately after concert in personal letter

In June, Amsterdam Mayor Halsema sent a personal letter to American rapper Ye, requesting that he leave the city immediately after his final concert. The city government has now released the letter after a journalist prepared to submit a public records request for it. In the letter, Halsema writes that although she does not have the legal authority to take action regarding his presence in Amsterdam, she believes it is her responsibility to be clear about the city's moral and social boundaries.
