Weight-loss drug distributor asked regulator to fine newspapers over 'advertising'

The Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) fined the newspapers NRC and de Volkskrant in August for violating the Medicines Act. The enforcement action was initiated following a request by Goodlife, the distributor of the weight-loss drug Mysimba. The company objected to articles that discussed weight-loss products from its competitors.
