Rescue services in the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu are searching for at least thirty missing people after a ferry sank between the islands of Ambae and Santo on Friday. At least one person has died, the office of Prime Minister Napat announced. There were 47 people on board, fifteen of whom have been rescued alive from the water. It has not been disclosed whether these survivors are crew members or passengers of the MV Matui.
