Conviction of Willem Engel final, community service for sedition remains

The sentence that Willem Engel, the leader of action group Viruswaarheid, received on appeal is final. Engel was given a 60-hour community service sentence for incitement in corona time. He became the face of the movement that opposed the corona measures. Engel appealed the conviction in cassation to the Supreme Court, which has now ruled that the sentence remains in force.
