Homes around the popular Amsterdam fries shop Fabel Friet are sold for lower prices than comparable houses two blocks away. According to research by TU Delft, this is due to the long queues that are almost daily at the door. Fabel Friet in de Runstraat has become a tourist attraction in recent years thanks to TikTok. In front of the store, there are often long 'TikTokrijen' waiting for a portion of fries.
